Belle Rêve Theatre Co. proudly presents
THE WORLD PREMIERE of the first play
by Academy Award® nominated writer
ALESSANDRO CAMON
starring
TONY AWARD® WINNER TONYA PINKINS
and ALEX HERNANDEZ
directed by BART DeLORENZO
Time Alone traces the parallel journeys of a
young man convicted of killing a gang rival,
and a woman whose son - a police officer -
is murdered in the line of duty.
Both end up in places of extreme loneliness —
a solitary confinement prison cell,
and the silent house of the bereaved.
As time itself seems to unravel, their tales
both contrast and mirror each other,
providing answers to each other's questions —
until they find new doors to life.

Belle Rêve enhances the play-going
experience through post-performance
talkback panels, mixers, and social media
campaigns—creating events that linger
long after the final curtain call.
Our goal is to raise awareness, promote
engagement, and put theatre at the
very heart of the issues that affect
our community.
We are committed to selecting not only
engaging plays, but also meaningful works
that advance a social agenda and confront
the inequities of our time.
Our inaugural production, Time Alone,
explored the complexities of criminal justice —
especially solitary confinement, and the delicate
relationship between perpetrators and victims.
To expand the conversation, we brought together
the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (headed by film
producer Scott Budnick), along with opinion
leaders, lawmakers, and advocacy groups.
What followed was a powerful, truthful,
and healing dialogue—proof that telling stories
through theatre theatre can open unique spaces
for expanding the conversation, reflection,
and change.
